CNC stands for Computer Numerical Control, which is a technology that is frequently incorporated into machinery for speed and efficiency. The user starts by taking a vector or G-code file. These vector files are made using Computer-Aided Design (CAD). These files can be in a wide range of formats from DXF, CDR, PDF, DWG, SVG, AI, STL, and BMP.
At 3rdimesion CAD Services we use Fusion 360 to create a 3D model of the parts to be manufactured. We then export this into our CAM workspace where we add stock material and create the toolpaths for the machine to follow.
The tool paths are then post processed into a G-Code format which can be read one of our two 3 axis CNC Machines.
We Operate a 1200x600mm (Y and X) I2R and a 2440x1220mm (Y and X) Mishi ATC CNC Machine.
Using these Machines we can process Soft and Hardwoods, plastics, foams, tooling board, MDF, Plywood, Non Ferrous Metals, such as aluminum, Brass and Copper (I2R only)
